Note: This question paper is divided into two Sections A and B. Attempt any 5 questions from Section A and any 3 questions from Section B. Marks are indicated against each section.

नोट: यह प्रश्न-पत्र अ और ब दो खण्डों में विभाजित है। खण्ड अ से किन्हीं पाँच प्रश्नों व खण्ड ब से किन्हीं तीन प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए। प्रत्येक प्रश्न के अंक खण्ड के सम्मुख अंकित है।  

SECTION-A (खण्ड-अ)

Short Answer Type Questions (लघु उत्तरीय प्रश्न)

Note: Attempt any five questions from the following eight questions. Each question carries 06 marks. (5×6=30)  

नोट: निम्नलिखित में से किन्हीं पाँच प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए। प्रत्येक प्रश्न 6 अंकों का है।  

1. Write a short note on Environmentalism.  

   पर्यावरण पर एक संक्षिप्त लेख लिखिए।  

2. Mention Aristotle's views regarding slavery.  

   अरस्तु के दासता संबंधी विचारों का उल्लेख कीजिए।  

3. Explain Bentham's concept of utilitarianism.  

   बेंथम के उपयोगितावाद के अवधारणा को स्पष्ट कीजिए।  

4. Discuss the merits and demerits of representative government as propounded by J.S. Mill.  

   जे.एस. मिल द्वारा प्रतिपादित प्रतिनिधि शासन के गुण और दोषों की विवेचना कीजिए।  

5. Make a comparative study of modern liberalism and conservatism.  

   आधुनिक उदारवाद एवं रूढ़िवाद का तुलनात्मक अध्ययन कीजिए।  

6. "John Locke is the father of liberalism." Explain it.  

   "जॉन लॉक उदारवाद के जनक हैं।" स्पष्ट कीजिए।  

7. Explain the concept of Rousseau's theory of General Will.

   रूसो की सामान्य इच्छा के सिद्धांत की अवधारणा को स्पष्ट कीजिए।

8. Explain the current relevance of Plato's Idea of Justice. 

   प्लेटो के न्याय संबंधी विचारों की वर्तमान में प्रासंगिकता स्पष्ट कीजिए।

9. Explain the concept of social contract in detail.

   सामाजिक समझौते की अवधारणा को विस्तारपूर्वक स्पष्ट कीजिए।

10. Explain the concept of Ideology and mention its main features. 

    विचारधारा की अवधारणा को स्पष्ट करते हुए इसकी प्रमुख विशेषताओं का उल्लेख कीजिए।

11. Explain the concept of Ideal state propounded by Plato.

    प्लेटो द्वारा प्रतिपादित आदर्श राज्य की अवधारणा को स्पष्ट कीजिए।

12. Explain the concept of revolution as propounded by Aristotle and mention its main function.

    अरस्तु द्वारा प्रतिपादित क्रांति की अवधारणा को स्पष्ट करते हुए इसके मुख्य कारणों का उल्लेख कीजिए।

13. Explain Marx's materialist concept of human history.

    मानव इतिहास की मार्क्स की भौतिकवादी अवधारणा को स्पष्ट कीजिए।

1. ‘Plato was an enemy of the open society' (Popper). Comment.

   "प्लेटो खुले समाज का शत्रु था।" पॉपर के इस कथन पर टिप्पणी कीजिए।  

2. Explain Machiavelli's attitude towards religion and morality.

   धर्म और नैतिकता के प्रति मैकियावेली के दृष्टिकोण को समझाइए।  

3. Discuss the General Will of Rousseau.

   रूसो की सामान्य इच्छा के सिद्धांत की चर्चा कीजिए।  

4. Describe Marx's theory of Surplus value.

   मार्क्स के अतिरक्त मूल्य के सिद्धांत का वर्णन कीजिए।  

5. What do you understand by the theory of resistance of state by Green?

   ग्रीन द्वारा प्रतिपादित राज्य के प्रतिरोध के सिद्धांत को समझाइए।  

6. Write short notes on the following in about 100 words each. Each part carries 3 marks.

   (निम्नलिखित पर लगभग 100 शब्दों (प्रत्येक) में संक्षिप्त लेख लिखिए। प्रत्येक भाग के 3 अंक हैं।)

7. Briefly write on the Idealism. 

   आदर्शवाद पर संक्षेप में लिखिए।  

8. 'The history of all hitherto existing society is history of class struggle'. Discuss.

   "अभी तक हर समाज का इतिहास वर्ग संघर्ष का इतिहास रहा है।" विवेचना कीजिए।

10. Describe the distinctive features of Neo-conservatism.

    नव-रूढ़िवाद की विशिष्ट विशेषताओं का वर्णन कीजिए।  

11. Explain how J.S. Mill championed the cause of women liberation.

    जे.एस. मिल महिला स्वतंत्रता के प्रवल समर्थक रहे हैं। विवेचना कीजिए।  

12. Critically examine Plato's concept of Philosopher King.

    प्लेटो की दार्शनिक राजा की अवधारणा का आलोचनात्मक परीक्षण कीजिए।  

13. Marx adopted the dialectics of Hegel but integrated it with materialism. Explain.

    मार्क्स ने हेगेल की द्वंद्वात्मकता को अपनाया परंतु उसे भौतिकवाद के साथ जोड़ दिया। व्याख्या कीजिए।
